Administrator, Melody Affrunti, RN, BSN, proudly calls North Idaho home and cannot imagine living anywhere else. At Honeysuckle, her role is to manage the daily flow of the facility and ensure operations remain in compliance with Idaho state regulations. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where residents and their families feel heard, supported, and cared for. Whether listening to stories, answering questions, or receiving suggestions, Melody strives to make meaningful connections with everyone she meets.
A mother of five grown children and grandmother to four grandchildren, Melody treasures family above all else. With her children living across the country, she is especially grateful for technology like FaceTime, which allows her to stay connected and involved in their lives despite the distance.
Melody has been in the medical field since 1997 and brings decades of experience and compassion to her work. Her nursing background includes acute cardiac care, medical-surgical nursing, and orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2003, she served as an administrator in California. Her passion has always centered on nurturing and caregiving roles, which naturally led her into hospice care. Since 2006, she has worked in hospice nursing in a variety of capacities and continues to remain active in hospice care today.
Outside of work, Melody finds peace and joy in nature. She loves spending time in the woods, listening to the breeze through the trees and the calming sound of a trickling creek.
Making a positive difference in the world and touching the lives of others remains Melody’s greatest goal in life. She welcomes residents, families, and visitors to stop by her office and say hello.
