Mat McWilliams

Dining Services Director

Mat is originally from the Bay Area, California, where his culinary adventure first began. Over the years, he has worked his way through every corner of the food industry—from bustling restaurants and food trucks to pop-ups and large-scale facilities. These diverse experiences have shaped him into a well-rounded chef with a passion for creating beautiful, flavorful meals that bring people together every day.

Mat’s culinary inspiration runs deep in his roots. His mother, who came to America from Thailand in her 30s, introduced him to the rich flavors and techniques of Thai cuisine, giving him a strong foundation in diverse culinary traditions. His father, a lifelong traveler, inspired his curiosity for global flavors and cultures—something he hopes to explore further through his own culinary journey.

When he’s not in the kitchen, Mat enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, fishing, or visiting the shooting range (just don’t count on him to go swimming!).

Ultimately, Mat strives to find joy and fulfillment in all that he does—living without regrets or “what ifs.” He is truly grateful for the opportunity to share his passion for food with the elderly community and to serve them with care, creativity, and heart every single day.

Amy Way

assisted living life enrichment director

Amy has spent over 25 years in the worlds of senior living, fitness, recreation, and wellness, building a career centered around supporting others and creating meaningful, enriching experiences. Her experience includes developing virtual enrichment programs for adults with disabilities during COVID-19, managing fitness departments, planning community-wide celebrations, and supporting resident’s one-on-one alongside physical therapists. Amy later broadened her skill set by becoming a licensed insurance producer and small business owner.

After living all over the country from 2000-2025, Amy is grateful to be back in the Rogue Valley where she was born and raised. She and her husband have a blended family—Amy’s 2 adult daughters and his three younger kiddos—and together they live on a large farm along the Applegate River.
