Julie Hegele

Wellness Director and RN

Julie came to Callahan Village as our Registered Nurse and Wellness Director in May of 2024. Julie started her nursing career in 2011 working in the Emergency Department and eventually transitioned to an ambulatory surgery clinic. Prior to being a nurse, Julie had a long career in management, graphic design, estate planning law and accounting. Julie was excited to come to Callahan Village as this position combined Julie’s years of experience prior to nursing with being a registered nurse. Julie will tell you this is the favorite nursing position of her career.

Julie has been bringing her boys Axel and Felix to work with her since starting her position, when they were just 10 weeks old. They have grown up here and the residents love having them around. They are the “Village Dogs” and are always so happy to brighten the day of residents and staff that frequently come and visit them.

When Julie and the boys aren’t at work, you can find them hanging out with Steve (awesome Hubby and Dad) and Julie’s beautiful daughter Emilie. They all love camping, kayaking, hanging out with family or just roughhousing in the back yard.
